Learn how to become more involved in the political process.
This workshop will cover two powerful tools you have as an Arizona resident: 1. How to use the Arizona legislature request to speak system, to put your name on the record in support of or against bills. Bring a laptop and use the RTS system during the hands-on training. 2. How the Democratic Party works, and why you may want to become a voting member of the party and an official neighborhood representative, called a "Precinct Committeeperson" (PC). You do not need to be registered as a Democrat toattend.
If you can, please bring a laptop.

Arizona citizens are facing a coordinated attack on their constitutional rights from The Chamber of Commerce and the Legislature via several bills. These bills create extreme burdens for voters to put initiatives on the ballot and take away your power by allowing the Legislature to change or repeal initiatives AFTER voters approved them. We can’t let this happen!
Four of these bills will be in the House Rules Committee on Monday at 9:30am. They could then be forced through to go to a full vote in the House that same day at 1:15pm
What can you do?
Pack the room! Come fill the House Rules Committee to silently protest thes...e bills and show the members of the committee that we’re watching. Wear one of your political organization shirts too.
Then join us and sit in the House Gallery at 1pm to show House Legislators, we’re watching you.
If you can’t show up in person you can still take action
Call legislators and tell them: Don’t attack my constitutional right to direct democracy and take away my voice. I’m asking you to vote NO on HCR2002, HCR2007, HB2404, HB2255, SCR1013, HB2320.
These are the key legislators who need to hear from you!
